On Monday, a suicide bomber in Afghanistan rammed his car into a NATO convoy in Kabul. Three people were killed and injured at least 12 others in the attack. A Taliban spokesman is claiming responsibility.
Just last week, FOX News' Ollie North reported that his cameraman Chris Jackson and two Marines were injured when an IED went off near their convoy in the Helmand Province.
CBN News' reporter Chuck Holton was on base about two miles away at the time of the blast and heard about it seconds later over the radio.
"The first vehicle in the convoy hit the IED and it was completely destroyed," Holton told CBN News. "There were five men in the vehicle, everyone of them got out alive, partially thanks to the efforts of Chris Jackson, the cameraman from Fox News. He was injured himself but ran back to rescue one of the men out of the vehicle."
"The men believed to be responsible for this bombing have already been apprehended and are making their way through the detention process," Holton added.
