Hamas, Egypt Work to Reclose Border

Hamas and Egyptian guards are working together to re-close their border.

Last week, militants blew-up the wall separating the two areas and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians crossed into Egypt to collect food and other supplies.

Egyptian forces had allowed the crowds to freely come-and-go. But now, they're ordering Gazans to return home.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has pledged to allow fuel and food shipments into Gaza to prevent a humanitarian crisis.

Israel closed off the Gaza Strip in response to ongoing Palestinian rocket attacks.
