Iran's Ahmadinejad to Visit Iraq

Ad Feedback

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is going to Iraq.

For more on what this could mean, watch CBN News Terror Analyst Erick Stakelbeck.

The Iranian leader has accepted an invitation for Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani to visit his country's one-time enemy. No date has been scheduled yet for the visit.

Ahmadenijad would become the first Iranian leader to visit Iraq since the two countries waged a bitter eight-year war during the 1980s.

Both Talabani and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki have already visited Iran.

U.S. officials have long accused Iran of supporting terrorism against U.S. troops in Iraq.
