Ahmadenijad would become the first Iranian leader to visit Iraq since the two countries waged a bitter eight-year war during the 1980s.
Both Talabani and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki have already visited Iran.
U.S. officials have long accused Iran of supporting terrorism against U.S. troops in Iraq.
