Shariah Law to Govern Britain's Muslims

Ad Feedback

In England, the government is now allowing Islamic courts to preside over cases of Muslim family and marital disputes.

This decision comes after several months of controversy, The London Daily Mail reports.

Shariah law will now be used to decide how Muslim couples divide their money, their property and who gets custody of children.

However, critics say this move will further isolate minority communities and it also creates concern with equality and women's rights.
