Thousands of Christian pilgrims travelled to Jerusalem to celebrate Easter Sunday.
Many of them attended the sunrise service at the garden tomb, thought to be the place where Jesus rose from the dead.
"Every Resurrection morning one senses the joy of so many people gathering together to celebrate that the tomb is empty, that Jesus is alive," said Peter Wells, Garden Tomb director.
"Oh, it's fantastic!," exclaimed one Christian from Japan. "To be at the place where Jesus was resurrected, that's the whole meaning of Christian."
"Joining with other Christians praising the Lord, it's like a taste of Heaven," said Renalyn from the Philipines.
" Probably a once in a lifetime event, that we may never get to do again and it's been overwhelming," said Rick, a Christian visiting from the U.S.
