The video of the flogging of a teenage girl by the Taliban in Pakistan is causing an uproar.
The girl was accused of spending time alone with a man who wasn't her husband.
The 30 lashes she received were punishment administered under Sharia law which is now in place in Pakistan's Swat Valley.
A Taliban spokesman responded to criticism of human rights activists saying the girl was shown mercy --most times under Sharia law, her "crime" would've been punishable by being stoned to death.
