Heated negotiations caused delays today at the climate change conference taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Developing countries like China and India boycotted some of today's meetings. They have demanded that richer nations cut more greenhouse gas emissions.

Conference organizers say that while they have reached a compromise, there are still a lot of other issues to be worked out.

President Obama will be there Friday for the end of the climate summit.
