CBNNews.com - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is urging China to continue investing in America.
Clinton made the request on this final stop of her week-long Asian tour, saying the financial future between both countries are closely tied.
Clinton said as China buys U.S. treasuries it helps the American economy, which in turn stimulates importing of Chinese products.
"If you just take two major issues confrQAonting the world, I don't think it's realistic to expect that we will see global recovery without Chinese and
American cooperation and leadership." Clinton said.
"And with respect to the provision that was in the stimulus package, it must be compliant with our international agreements," she said. "We know that a round of protectionism is not in America's interest. It's important that we work with countries like China."
Clinton also visited Japan, Indonesia, and South Korea in hopes of restoring America's image abroad.
