The Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush says he did so to "restore the pride" of Iraqis.

Muntadhar Al-Zeidi also told a panel of judges during his trial today that the "humiliation of iraq" and the "murder of innocent people" drove him to insult the president.

There was such a commotion in support of Al-Zeidi that the chief judge threatened to throw everyone out of the room.

The judge has adjourned the case untill March 12th.
