Cholera Rages in Zimbabwe

Ad Feedback

The situation in Zimbabwe is going from bad to worse.

On top of all its other problems, the African nation is losing thousands of its citizens to cholera. Cholera is a disease that one can get from drinking filthy water.

More than 100,000 people now have cholera in Zimbabwe. More than 4,000 have died from the disease so far.

Zimbabwe is suffering extreme political and economic meltdowns. So the water supplies are iffy, there are hardly any purification chemicals, the water and sewer pipes are broken.

No one collects the garbage anymore, so it's everywhere.

Health officials are worried the cholera epidemic could worsen in Zimbabwe as the rainy season approaches
