Citizen militias in Pakistan appear to be rising up against the Taliban.

A local police chief says as many as 1,600 tribesman are now taking part in the militia.

It's seen as an indication of rising anti-Taliban sentiment in Pakistan.

The breaking point may have been a deadly suicide bombing at a mosque, last week that left 33 worshippers dead.
