Europeans took a political lurch to the right over the weekend. Voters in 27 countries their cast ballots for candidates to fill the 736 seats in the European Parliament.
Surprisingly, in these tough economic times, the left took a beating.
Voters boosted center-right, right-wing and anti-European Union fringe parties in Germany, France, Italy and Belgium.
