Israel's foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, is in Washington Wednesday discussing the proposal of a Palestinian state.
These will be the highest level talks since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu first proposed the idea Sunday.
Lieberman will be discussing the stipulations for a Palestinian state that Netanyahu outlined in his speech.
Mainly, the importance of the Palestinian state being de-militarized and special monitoring in place to make sure it stays that way.
However, U.S. officials are reluctant to make such guarantees.
