CBNNews.com - Thousands of marijuana pipes have been apprehended by Israeli police after a factory raid in Northern Israel.
According to spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, police entered the factory in Haifa this week and confiscated 15,000 bongs that were planned for distribution. The 60-year-old owner was also arrested.
Bongs and other drug paraphernalia are common at Israel kiosks, but Rosenfeld said, Thursday, that police are cracking down on the items by banning them a few weeks ago.
A large amount of marijuana is smuggled in the country by Bedouin across the porous border with Egypt. The rest come from Lebanon and Gaza, however due to recent hostilities these routes are less common.
