Afghanistan's resident Hamid Karzai has been sworn in to a second 5-year term.
During his inauguration ceremony, Karzai said peace and reconciliation are his top priority.
He said his country's security forces should take the lead in tackling the insurgency in his country and that the forces should be able to take control of security in the next five years.
Karzai also addressed corruption in the Afghan government, saying officials who are corrupt should be "tried and prosecuted."
Karzai's new term begins amid growing doubts of his ability to control corruption within Afghanistan's government.
