French president Nicolas Sarkozy says there is no place in his country for the Muslim veils known as burqas.
Those are the clothes that some Muslim women wear to cover their full faces and bodies.
Sarkozy says burqas are a way of treating women like they're less important.
He says all beliefs will be respected, but "becoming French means adhering to a form of civilization."
French parliament has been looking into banning burqas in public.
