A German court ruled that a Berlin high school must provide special rooms where Muslim students can pray during school hours.
The court ruled in favor of 16-year-old Muslim student Yunus M., who brought a lawsuit against the school.
Relying on testimony from an Islamic scholar, the court decided that praying at specific hours has a high degree of importance for practicing Muslims, and that keeping them from doing so violates the country's guarantee of religious freedom.
