Operation Blessing International continues to help thousands of families recovering from the earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12.
Recently, Operation Blessing opened one of the first schools at Camp Dadadou, one of the many tent cities in Haiti.
The school is for children in grades first through sixth, and about 550 children are enrolled who receive a free lunch daily.
Operation Blessing partnered with the Navy Seabees which are based in Virginia Beach, Va. Together they built benches and desks for the school.
"These kids were traumatized and they need a place where they can be themselves," said Dr. Journie, the camp coordinator. "My dream has come true through Operation Blessing. This school will change lives."
