A new tropical storm has formed far out in the Atlantic Ocean, National Hurricane Center announced Tuesday.
Forecasters said Tropical Storm Colin appears to be heading for the U.S. Atlantic seaboard and will not threaten efforts to seal off the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
According to The National Hurricane Center in Miami, the system has maximum sustained winds of about 40 miles-per-hour and is expected to strengthen.
