The Christian Broadcasting Network's WorldReach ministry and its charity aid organization Operation Blessing International have given hundreds of gifts this Christmas to needy children in Thailand in conjunction with the Southeast Asia country's Angel Tree project.
Christmas trees have been displayed in shopping malls and stores with ornaments bearing a child's picture. Shoppers purchase a gift for the child and then can exchange the gift for the ornament on the tree.
For 10 years, Operation Blessing has worked with area schools and local churches to collect gifts for the project.
At gift distribution events, people can play games and win prizes. The gospel message is also shared with those in attendance.
Last week, CBN volunteers gave gifts to more than 600 children in two remote villages.
