Iranian officials are outraged after learning the Star of David has adorned the top of its nation airline headquarters -- possibly for decades.
The large symbol was revealed in a Google Earth satellite image of the Iran Air Headquarters in Tehran. The Star of David can clearly be seen in the middle of the bulding's roof.
Iran said the building was constructed by Israeli engineers before the Islamic revolution in 1979.
During that time Israel had arms deals with Iran, and flights were common between Tehran and Tel Aviv. Iran has since cut all ties with Israel.
The Star of David appears to be painted on the building.
The Iranian government has called for it to be removed immediately.
