American evangelist and author Josh McDowell experienced rough treatment recently when he tried to visit Egypt.

Border officials prevented him from entering the country to speak at an outdoor Christian festival.

McDowell was detained and questioned at the Cairo airport for 11 hours.

For much of that time he was prevented from receiving food, water and even visiting the restroom.

McDowell spoke with CBN News about the ordeal. Click play for his comments.
