The United States currently has the lead for the most medals won at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
So far the U.S. medal count is at eight, with four bronze medals, two silver medals and two gold medals.
Seth Wescott took the top spot in snowboard cross and Hannah Kearney scored first place in the free style skiing event at the women's moguls.
"This has been the focus for the last two years and to pull it off is amazing," Wescott told reporters after the victory.
"I really want to be part of an Olympic montage and I think I've earned my right now," Kearney said. "If this can send a positive vibe and set a tone for the Americans, I'll take it."
America is one of twelve original countries to have participated in every Winter Olympics since its conception in 1924.
