The U.S missionaries facing kidnapping charges in Haiti, have fired their Haitian lawyer.
Another attorney for the group says the Haitian lawyer wanted $60,000 to bribe officials to release them.
And now members of the group are turning against their leader, Laura Silsby.
The missionaries handed a note to NBC News that read: "We came only as volunteers. We had nothing to do with any documents and have been lied to."
The Americans went to Haiti to rescue orphans after the earthquake. But at least 20 of the children they tried to bring across the border into the Dominican Republic had living parents.
The group did not have the proper paperwork from Haitian authorities to transport the children.
