Clashes between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria has left 5,000 people displaced from their homes.
Rioters have burned down churches and mosques in the northern city of Jos. At least a dozen people are reported dead.
There are conflicting reports on what started the riots. In November 2008, some 300 people died in religious riots in Jos.
Marshals to be Posted on U.S-Bound Nigerian Planes
U.S. air marshals will soon be onboard flights coming from Nigeria. The West African nation says it will sign an agreement with the U.S. to allow armed marshals on airplanes.
This comes after a Nigerian man attempted to detonate a bomb on a plane upon landing in Detroit on Christmas Day.
Nigeria is on a list of 14 countries where passengers must undergo stricter screening before boarding a U.S.-bound flight.
