A frantic search is underway for flood victims in southern China after rising waters have left hundreds of people trapped.

A landslide buried dozens of homes in the Sichuan Province and forced 4,000 villagers to evacuate. Rescue workers are searching for 21 people who are still missing.

This is China's worst flood season in a decade and more rain is in the forecast for much of the country.

Officials said floods this year have already killed 823 people, and another 437 are still missing.

Flood damages have topped tens of billions of dollars.
