A former Muslim who wrote a book about his conversion to Christianity recently lost his bid to remain in the U.S.
Thirty-five-year-old Hussein Wario must return to his native homeland of Kenya after a federal appeals court refused to overturn a lower court's decision and allow him to stay in America.
Wario fears he will be persecuted back in Kenya for leaving Islam.
He traveled to the U.S. to attend Hope College in Holland, Mich. After graduating in 2000, Wario wrote Cracks in the Crescent, a book chronicling his conversion to the Christian faith.
