Drug Lord Caught in Jamaica After Weeks of Violence

One of the world's most wanted drug lords has been captured.

Police arrested Christopher Coke at a security checkpoint in Jamaica, Wednesday.

The 42-year-old faces trial in New York on drug trafficking charges and is expected to be extradited to the U.S.

Fighting between police and drug gangs protecting Coke broke out last month in the streets of Jamaica, as he fled from authorities. Seventy-six people were killed in the shoot outs.

Jamaican officials called on Coke's supporters to remain calm and non-violent while he is in custody and assured he would not be harmed.
