Vice President Joe Biden began the first leg of his five-day Middle East tour in Israel Monday.
Biden met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The two sides have agreed to start indirect peace talks soon.
On Thursday, Biden will meet in Amman with Jordan's King Abdullah.
The Vice President's trip is the highest-level visit yet by the Obama administration to Israeli and Palestinian territories.
Biden's wife, Jill, will be visiting schools and hospitals in the region during the visit.
