Irish authorities have released a Colorado woman suspected of terrorist activity, who had been held without charges on Saturday.
Jamie-Paulin Ramirez was arrested March 9 for possible ties to a plot to kill the Swedish cartoonist who drew the prophet Mohammed as a dog. Three others were also arrested, including the woman known as "Jihad Jane."
The 31-year-old Ramirez recently married a Muslim man and converted to Islam.
"It came out of left field," said Ramirez's mother Christine Mott. "I knew she was talking to these people online... What caused her to turn her back on her country, on her family and become this person? I don't know how or why. All I know is she was in contact with this Jihad Jane."
Ramirez's relatives have described her as mentally unstable. They said she told them if she had to, she would strap a bomb to her chest.
Meanwhile, terrorism analysts believe the FBI will probably try to question her.
