The top hotel in Abu Dhabi really has the golden touch.
The Emirates Palace Hotel has added the world's first ever gold dispensing ATM machine.
With gold prices at record highs, the Gold to Go ATM monitors the daily gold price and offers small bars up to 10 grams or coins with customized designs. The machine itself is covered with 24-carat gold.
The ATM is the idea of German entrepreneur Thomas Geissler. Geissler said the ATM fits in with the region's tradtional ties in gold commerce.
"It brings gold to the public," he said. "It demystifies it."
The Gold to Go machine is protected by several security measures and also has anti-money laundering software built into it.
If you would like to make plans to see the gold dispensing ATM, a one night stay in a three-bedroom suite at the hotel will cost more than $10,000 a night.
