Thousands of Africans will gather in Washington, D.C., this weekend to pray for revival in the United States.
Some 50,000 believers are expected to attend the Africa Prays for America event at the National Mall, Saturday. The mass prayer was organized by the African Strategic Leadership Prayer Network, a group of African church leaders from around the world.
ASLPN leaders said America has been blessing Africa for years, and now that the U.S. is going through tough economic and spiritual times, they want to return the favor and pray for the country.
CBN News spoke with pastor Fiifi Pentsil, a member of the ASLPN, about the event. Click play for his comments on why African Christians feel so strongly about praying for the U.S.
