Operation Blessing International's teams are helping victims of Typhoon Megi, which struck the Philippine Islands earlier this week.
The OBI team is working in the most devastated town of Ilagan located on the province of Isabela. Operation Blessing's goal is to help 10,000 Filipino families.
In the Philippines agricultural community alone, more than 80 percent of all families were affected by the storm. The ministry is working closely with the Filipino government, armed forces and local churches to help meet peoples needs.
Medical mission teams are also assisting storm victims who are fighting respiratory infections and other diseases.
Operation Blessing volunteers have given out blankets, rice mix and crisis booklets to Iiagan residents. In addition, many families have also received help with their farms and learning how to start over.
