The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelism has opened in South Africa.

Thousands of Christians are attending the Cape Town meeting to discussing how to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
    
The more than 4,500 delegates from 197 countries will also be addressing issues important to the global church such as world faith, poverty, HIV/AIDS and Christian persecution. The event will continue through Oct 25.
