Bolivian Students Changed by Outreach Event

Santa Cruz is home to Gabriel University, the largest college in Bolivia.

Recently, evangelist Danette Crawford and her "Joy Ministries" visited the school to bring the gospel it's 70,000 or so students.

"We were granted permission to have [the event] in the center of the university, to have this crusade at their stadium, where they play soccer," Crawford explained.

Ninety volunteers from local churches worked to spread the word about the event.

"It was so awesome when we were passing out the flyers," one young volunteer recalled. "Everyone was so grateful and excited that we were doing something there at the university."

Many responded to Crawford's message by accepting the invitation to follow Christ. Others experienced a physical healing.

One student said she had a crippling pain in her leg, but after prayer at the event, the pain was gone and she could jump and run.

Crawford also plans to carry out more evangelistic meetings in South and Central America.
