CBN's Operation Blessing International is working with a team from the Mayo Clinic to improve the health of Haitians still struggling after last year's devastating earthquake.
Doctors and nurses from the clinic have been arriving on the island since February. The teams are treating patients with head traumas, collapsed lungs, strokes and cholera.
They've also been able to provide medical training to hospital staff. Currently, Mayo medical staff are working at two main hospitals in Port-au-Prince and at Operation Blessing's Zanmi Beni Children's Home.
Operation Blessing began a partnership with the Mayo Clinic two years ago in El Salvador. That partnership has now expanded to Honduras as well as Haiti.
