While most people rent hotels rooms or even houses when they vacation, now there's another option -- renting a country.
Lichtenstein is the hottest new vacation rental property in the world, located in the Alps between Switerzerland and Austria.
The country is using the "rent-a-country" promotion to attract new visitors. Chris McGinnis, director of Travelskills.com, said Lichtenstein has a lot to offer.
"Liechtenstein is one of the more prosperous countries in europe.Lots of old architecture, cows in green pastures, castles, it has got a little bit of everything," he said.
"It is kind of small, sometimes forgotten, and this is one way that they can keep the name out there," McGinnis added.
Renting the country costs about $70,000 a night. For that price renters will get about 550 hotel rooms, a chance to rename city streets and their face printed on Liechtenstein money.
