In Egypt, fighting between Muslims and Coptic Christians has left one Copt dead, according to government officials.
The incident took place in the city of Minya, located about 135 miles south of Cairo.
Rioting broke out after a Muslim hit a Christian man with his car.
The Associated Press reports Muslims began shooting when Christians smashed the windows of a mosque.
Leaders from both communities have condemned the violence and called for reconciliation.
Coptic Christians, who are only about a tenth of Egypt's population, often complain of discrimination by majority Muslims.
