The prestigious Mayo Clinic recently teamed up with Operation Blessing International to provide medical training and health care services in El Salvador.

A group of seven specialists and doctors from the clinic spent a week training medical professionals in the South America country.

They were also able to hold a one-day medical clinic, where more than 500 patients received treatment.

The Mayo Clinic was presented with the diploma of special recognition by the government of El Salvador. The award honors the clinic for their contributions in health services to the country.

The clinic has also teamed up with the Virginia Beach, Va.-based Operation Blessing in Honduras and Haiti.
