The charity aid organization Operation Blessing International recently partnered with TOMS Shoes to distribute new shoes to children in China.

TOMS donates a pair of shoes for every pair purchased by their customers. According to the company's website, they've given away more than 1 million pairs of shoes to children around the world.

Operation Blessing International teams have distributed shoes to more than 1,800 students at four different schools.

Many of the students have to walk long distances over mountainous terrain. Their old shoes were either too big or in very poor condition.

This was the first time that TOMS distributed shoes with Operation Blessing in China. Teams from Operation Blessing plan to return next year.
