CBN News continues its coverage of the aftermath from a 9.0 magnitude earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami that raced around the world within hours, March 11.
Northern Japan was hit the hardest, as tsunami waves swallowed up whole villages and pulled many out to sea. Thousands of people are still missing.
Now Japan and the world are racing to prevent a possible nuclear meltdown from a power shutdown and reactors damaged during the disasters.
Geological experts say the earthquake was the 5th worst earthquake since 1900 and the most powerful ever recorded on the island nation.
