Libyan Muslim leaders are demanding that Libya's constitution be based on Islamic Sharia law and that anything that violates Islam remain illegal.
The 250 Muslim clerics met with Libya's transition council on Monday.
Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, chairman of Libya's transitional council, said that while the country's constitution may be based on Shariah law, it will still reflect a moderate Islam.
Other leaders say the matter is still being decided.
