The radical Muslim sect Boko Haram is continuing its attacks on Nigeria's Christian population.
Nigeria's army said the group killed two Christians in separate attacks Monday, even though security has been ramped up in the area.
The Associated Press reported at least 54 people have been killed in recent days by Boko Haram.
Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan imposed a state of emergency just more than a week ago in the parts of the country most affected by the attacks.
