Christianity is helping the Chinese people stand up to their government, according to activists from the organization China Aid.

Bob Fu, president of the group, said he believes the Christian faith will eventually transform China.

Fu gave that testimony at a House subcommittee hearing in Washington, D.C., chaired by Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J.

Christians are already opposing the communist government's one-child policy. It restricts married urban couples to having only one child. Any others must be aborted.

Fu said he believes China is on its way to becoming a nation that promotes peace and justice.
