A self-proclaimed member of al Qaeda who took four hostages in a bank in southern France has been captured, ending the standoff.
The hostages were released unharmed, and the man was lightly injured, a regional police official said.
The Credit Industrial and Commercial Bank is located in Toulouse, the same city where four people were killed outside a Jewish school in March.
The shooter in that incident, Mohammed Merah, also claimed allegiance to al Qaeda.
