Food Bank Helps Save Niger from Starvation

CBN's Operation Blessing International is working to save lives in Niger, one of several nations in the Sahel region of West Africa on the brink of starvation.

The ministry is helping the people of Niger with a food bank that gives them crop seeds and a plot of Operation Blessing land.

During a good season, people can harvest their crops and sell a portion to the food bank for money. When there's drought, they can purchase seed back for food.

"Without this food bank, I don't know where I would find food for my children," one struggling mother said. "Thank you Operation Blessing for providing food for me and my family."
