Syria's Civil War Has Broader Impact

Ad Feedback

Syrian rebels have taken control of most of the villages near Israel's Golan Heights, according to Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

Fighting in the area has already forced Israel to retaliate after stray mortar shells crossed the border earlier this week.

The shelling is a sign that the Syrian army continues to lose effectiveness. Growing rebel control could widen the country's civil war into an armed conflict with other nations like Israel.

Rebel fighting has already spilled into Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey.

How does the conflict impact Syria's Christians and other nations surrounding the country? CBN News Senior International Correspondent Gary Lane explains, on CBN Newswatch, Nov. 14.
