The radical Islamist group Boko Haram may be the source of violence against Chinese workers in Nigeria.
Government officials say a man shot a Chinese construction worker in the Northeast part of the country Friday. The man didn't survive.
The attack occurred at a road construction site in the city of Maiduguri, a spokesperson from Borno State Ministry of works said.
The shooting is the latest cause of concern for foreign workers in Nigeria's violence-wracked northeast. The incident comes only two weeks after another Chinese man was shot and killed in a nearby city.
Authorities believe Boko Haram is responsible for the shootings, but the group has yet to claim responsibility.
