Security forces in Shiraz, Iran, raided a private home and arrested seven Christians for holding a prayer meeting.
Christian Solidarity Worldwide said authorities are carrying out a campaign of harrassment against Christians of all denominations.
Meanwhile, five Christians detained in a raid eight months ago are now facing trial. Their alleged crimes include "propagation against the Islamic regime" and "defaming Islamic holy figures through Christian evangelizing."
"There appears to be an increasing tendency by the Iranian authorities to characterize legitimate religious activities as crimes against the state," CSW Chief Executive Mervyn Thomas said. "In reality, people are being harassed merely on account of their faith."
The campaign targets not only Christians, but members of the Baha'i faith and other religious minorities.
