Pope Benedict XVI is back in Rome Monday after a three-day visit to Lebanon he described as a pilgrimage of peace.

In an open air mass in Beirut, he called for reconciliation between Muslims and the region's Christian minority.

Benedict said justice and peace are needed to build "a fraternal society."

Lebanon has the largest percentage of Christians in the Middle East. Benedict also appealed for peace in Syria and throughout the region.
